Player Valuation: £750k
Just watched the first episode of the Newcastle documentary on Prime. Bitter as an Happy Shopper Lemon as that could have easily been us with better choices and leadership but what was a good insight was the negotiation there end on the Gordon transfer, they were desperate for him and showed a clip of that Amanda Staveley saying that they should play hard ball until the deadline day to see if Everton would bottle and accept the 40m + 5m in add ons (We were asking for 60m). 2 days before the transfer deadline we sell for the 40m + 5 in add ons.

Not a negative, we are useless cant do anything right post as there is enough of them on here without creating another one and actually think the money we got for him was good but found it interesting as they would have paid more on deadline day but also was risky from our end to wait until then as might not have got another offer like that for him again. So I am sure it is similar situations with Gnonto etc now and as painful as it is, as we need players, we also cant afford to overspend due to all our balls ups with transfers over the past 5 years.

That'll be the much vaunted Kenwright negotiating skills on display right there.
