Ever hear a single from an album and look up the album and find the rest is nothing like that song and turbo cabbage.

many of them but I’ll get the ball rolling with raconteurs ‘steady as she goes’ album was woeful.

Liked the theme music from Vikings and looked up the artist expecting more of the same style of music and it just.......wasn't.

Oh so many of those!

The one I always remember is Skunk Anansie ('Charity' was the single) because 2 weeks later I followed a stranger up to the counter of the record shop to talk him out of wasting his money on it.

As a misinformed teenager, I heard the new radicals tune "You only get what you give" and bought the album off the back of it.... and it was a load of steaming poo!!
It's a good song tbf (nea).

For most of my lifetime, having one good song made you a one hit wonder. Somewhere along the way it has become enough to build an entire career on.

Dont think I'd call it a bad album, but the majority of tracks on "5 a side" by Ace pale in comparison to the superb "How Long".....well done Mr Carrack
