I would agree... we are looking good, but there are some parts of our game we need to iron out. it is still early in the season, so we could easily start slipping down the table.

As always were still a little short on quality players I feel. Loosing out on ofoe was massive blow to the strengh of our squad especially given gibson's injury. There's no doubt we come into this season a little stronger than we ended last season which makes me hopefull but IMO it's all about getting to January in and around where we want to be and adding a couple more players to really put us in the possistion to drive on second half the season.

Ofoe and Donovan in January would do that IMO.
Moving on from there whether its January or the summer I think RB needs looking at aswell as CB. Heitinga will be moved on I feel to provide cash for another CB younger and with the potential to be a long term Distin replacement.

We moved forward definitely but we need more to seriously challenging arsenal and spurs for 4th who I believe are just still ahead from us.

Despite being a little short in some areas, it's nice to see an improvement on previous seasons and getting off to a pretty good start.

Centre back definitely, other than Duffy I think all our centre halfs are around the age of 30. Need someone younger. We also need cover for Gibson!

True. Most defenders not in the first team are side backs. I'm surprised Everton haven't cashed one in for a CB prospect, since Baines and Hibbert and Coleman make it really hard from someone to break in at SB.

Ofoe would be a great buy, I think. Also, a good heading CB would be a plus, IMHO.

We don't particularly need to cash in one to sign the other in my opinion, the amount of youth we've signed over the years and just let go on a free... Garbutt, Bidwell and Browning all look like potentially decent fullbacks atm. It's a bit of a lottery on who will come good at senior level.

Also the term sideback, although literally correct, is weird.
