I was waiting in a garage today while my car was being serviced, there was some daily newspapers there that I looked through, and pretty much everything was bad news, fires in the Amazon, brexit consequences, world potentially heading for recession, ya know the usual doom mongering. I left the place feeling a bit sad. So when I got home I googled "good news sites" there are a few that I found I'll post links in the comments, maybe if you come across some news story that makes you smile or feel happy post the link for others, life is tough enough without constant bad news.

Personally I'm convinced that the media is full of bad news to keep us miserable and repressed. It's social engineering. Other than here I have an occasional glance at the bbc website to keep up with whatever news the bbc choose to tell us. I've not read a paper in 30 years and avoid tv and radio news.

I'm as happy as Larry* as a result.

I finished work today at 16.30 and don’t return until 9am on the second of September.
I then work for 5 days and finish at 16.30 on 6th September and return on Monday 23rd September. I have looked forward to this month for a long time.
