Subsequent registration
17.17 For all matches from the start of the round of 32, a club may register a
maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the
current competition. Such registration must be completed by 1 February
2008 at the latest. This deadline cannot be extended.
17.18 One player from the above quota of three who has played UEFA club
competition matches for another competing club in the current season may
exceptionally be registered provided that the player has not been fielded:
− in the same competition for another club,
− for another club that is currently in the same competition.
Furthermore, if the player’s new club is playing in the UEFA Cup, his former
club must not have played in the UEFA Cup at any point in the current
season.

just watched the manny interview and he doesn't think he'll be able to play.

hopefully they'll be able to implement this ruling (if poss) otherwise Pienaar and co should be back from the ACN by then.
 

That'd be nice if that was true. It'd also be nice if someone at the club brushed up on the rules as Manny obviously wasn't sure on this and we kinda messed up the Pienaar thing. Hit the books Mr Moyes :P
 
Great piece of information we have been getting information saying he could play in UEFA cup for us, but now it comfirm it!

Well spotted. Comes from the "Regulations of the Uefa CUp 2007/8". Not sure what "exceptionally" means in this context. Hopefully it doesn't mean some silly rule for the "big boys" only, but in my eyes it seems that he can play. Come on Everton, don't forget to register him!!!!

i really think there is something to this, it looks pretty clear on print
i did see the manny interview and he wasn't sure..but i wouldn't mind that to much, i'm sure he has had a few other things to think about ;)
anyway if he does line out in the uefa cup, i have to say i fancy our chances :dance:

Well I think its a valid point, if people would get over this me being obsessed with him. I'm not, I just don't want to go around with my head up my arse.

Well you are if you cant see why people are getting fed up with you making regular references to him.

We know what he's like, most people agree with you. But they don't use a thread about whether Manny can play in the UEFA cup as another chance to have a dig at him.

Last weekend you said you were only highlighting his negativity as an example of what you didnt want from a magazine style site for EFC so whats your excuse now?

I'm not saying this to have a go at you, it doesn't bother me that much but i really do think you will save yourself hassle if you just drop it and dont keep pointing it out when he makes a negative comment. You're just repeating yourself and that will annoy people after a while.
