Morning/Evening Gents, Melbourne Evertonian, never been to Liverpool, or England for that matter.

Became an Evertonian in grade 7 when my parents decided to open a backpackers in our home... literally. My 2 older brothers were at uni, and my sister went to school interstate, so they decided to open up the downstairs bedrooms for backpackers. Paul Duffy, from Liverpool, stayed with us for 6 months, and Everton was his one and only love. He had the badge tattooed on his right bicep, and he was my idol. He was great at football, and treated me much better then my 2 older brothers lol. He also told me some cracking stories about Goodison in the 80s. The nutter loved the cocaine too much though, and that was his reasoning for moving to Australia for 6 months. Looking back, I have no idea how my parents thought it was a good idea to let this lunatic in our home, but the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' never spoke truer. To be honest, I don't feel English culture is a whole lot different to us Aussies. Sport, Beer, Babes and Sunshi......, maybe not everything, either way, he was an instant hit with all my family. He arrived mid week, and talked about the Everton v Portsmouth game until kick off Saturday. He stood the whole game, fingernails basically gone. Everton won that game, and the passion on display turned the whole family into instant Evertonians.

I actually had G.O.T recommended to me on reddit. I use reddit quite a lot, not just for sport, but also to network with other journos. I just finished my degree last year, and been doing sweet f all ever since. A bit of freelance writing here and there... Mostly just intros on forums ;) Im kinda filthy on the fact that I have only just discovered G.O.T at 28 - while putting up with the trolls on reddit for the last 5 years!

Your all-time favourite Everton player? Without a doubt Tim Cahill. Im Australian.

Your current favourite player? My partner is Dutch, Australian born, but her dad was born in Amsterdam, and he's such a tight-ass he won't pay for cable, so I find my Father-in-law with beer in hand, on my couch, at all hours of the morning watching Ajax games, without warning. In saying that, Ive seen a lot of Kasper Dolberg and Davy Klaassen, and would be delighted if Mosh got one or both of them to the club. Kasper is probably my favourite current player though. It's incredible to watch him knowing he's still a teenager. My wife wants to [Poor language removed] him, and to be fair, I wouldn't stop the kid. He's top notch.

Pineapple on Pizza, Is it socially acceptable? What are your views?: Im a big boy, not overweight, but not slim by any means. I eat whatever is in-front of me. Quickly, and seconds goes without question. If someone put a Hawaiian pizza in front of me, it would be finished, no doubts.

Any Melbourne Blues on here that have their favourite pubs to watch the games?

Welcome mate.

You're thoughts on indigenous peoples ?

Ps - What's the dogging scene like in Australia ?

my thoughts on aboriginals? Ive got aboriginie in me, 3rd generation... My political view: couldn't give 2 shits about an apology or any of that bs... Was it right what happened to the abos back then? No. Is it worth crying about something that happened over 100 years ago? Not in my opinion.

All Australians have equal opportunity. If anything, there are heaps of programs in place to help abos into the work force, housing, education etc. I didn't need to use any myself, but they are there. I come from a big family, indigenous backround, I went to public schools, we were never rich, I managed to finish school, have a part time job through high school, travel for 6 months, go to uni, graduate, have a mortgage, a car, wife and son, play football etc... safe to say I live a pretty normal, happy life, and i did it all with dark skin lol. So, in my opinion, if an abo ever tells you they are 'under privileged' because of their heritage, they are just looking for an excuse to cover the fact they decided to get a pension and drink piss for a living.

I find majority of the racism in Australia is aimed at the Muslims at the moment, us abos have kind slipped under the radar! Its kinda funny watching all the full on red necks protesting that the government needs to 'reclaim THEIR country'. Either way lads im not bothered, like I said, im an abo, ive worked hard and reaped the rewards. I get called a coon or noonga every now and then. Most of the times its at football, from the supporters, so nothing really comes of it. But if im on the spirits i'll have a go lol. Some people get offended by words, some don't. I'm the latter.

Would you be prepared to apologise for what you done to the aborigines mate? There's a few posting on here who would appreciate it.

Good to have you.

I love it here mate. Im originally from north qld, where its very tropical weather. A lot more laid back and less rush in the city. But Melbourne is where its at for my work, and sport, and most things tbh! It rains alot more down here, and the winters are cold-ish. I've lived in America (L.A) and visited a few of other the big cities, but nothing really shaped up to Melbourne, maybe im bias!

I hope you get the apology you deserve from the various kiwis posting on here mate. I'll fight your cause.

why would kiwis apologise for something the english done over 100 years ago? who gives a [Poor language removed], i don't really want to comment on the topic any longer, it shouldnt even be a topic. It's a moment in history, just like every other planned takeover in the history of the world. The English were better equipped, they had much better weaponry and they had land to obtain. They took over, end of story.

I don't want to offend any of my people, but in all seriousness, move on. An apology is an apology, but it doesn't mean it never happened. Like I said, im 3rd Gen, MY mums 2nd Gen, and my g'dad 1st Gen, He was taken from his family at 7 and never seen them again, they were probably murdered the day he was taken. I have no family tree, I have no history and it sucks. But what the [Poor language removed] is an apology going to change? Ive got no doubt the majority of white Australians are sorry for what happened. The majority of the human race that knows what happened is probably sorry for what happened. Im sorry for what happened to the jewish in nazi germany, im sorry for the black americans in the times of the KKK etc. The problem is, there are a small minority of abos that want to use their history as an excuse to get drunk everyday at the expense of the tax payer, and thats weak as piss.

It seems a few of the lads on here are a little confused, or just go off what they read in the papers. Talk to real abos that have grown up in democratic Australia and worked just as hard as a white fella. They will all teach you a very simple lesson - regardless of what happens in life, to you, your family, your race, your culture, your country... if you keep your chin up, have a plan, love your mama and work hard, you wont have time to listen to every other prick crying 'Poor me'. I've been too busy watching my son grow up and my family blossom to care about some white fella apologising for something he didn't even do.

I hope you get the apology you deserve from the various kiwis posting on here mate. I'll fight your cause.
