I’m fancying moving somewhere completely new next year. Lived in Bristol, Liverpool and (obviously) Chester, but I’m fancying a bit of a new adventure. Ideally with decent nightlife, nice parks in the centre and plenty of stuff to do, but not somewhere massive like Manchester, London or Birmingham

Durham. Very pretty, bars etc, not madly expensive.

Nottingham ain't bad.

To take the mick: Stoke, Sunderland, Derby, Leicester, Coventry or Newport
I remember when I visited Derby when I was 21 and had kinda assumed it was going to be quite posh for some reason... how wrong I was lol

Durham could be a shout, Nottingham, Brighton, Glasgow and York are on my shortlist currently, but generally I’m pretty open to suggestions

I think a lot of people assume Durham will be madly expensive, but my mate lived there (lives just outside now) and it isn't. Its not huge though. Does have good access to Newcastle if you want a full on night out. Or to be taught the dark arts of horse punching.
