Apologies if there's a thread on this already but just finished watching the series tonight (on catch-up) and is about as good a series of TV I've ever seen. Possibly even better than Brushstrokes.

Anyone else on this / seen it already?

That's the one mate - subtitled but well worth the effort. The fact it's Italian and I had no idea who the actors are having not seen them in stuff before just made it that bit more authentic.

That's Gomorrah - not Brushstrokes. Goes without saying Brushstrokes was authentic.

Yes I read that. Think the series was born out of a book and the author hain't exactly enamoured himself with the family it is based on!

The author wrote the book then a film then the TV series .It's easily the best 1st season of any TV show I've watched upto now . And ive watched plenty

Was just a brilliant series - read a second series is going to happen too.

Won't spoil for anyone intending watching but as I was watching didn't have a clue who to root for each week!

Will try that Romanzo Crimanele next - you seen that one?

I've seen the film but not started the series's yet. The film was not great but the series of rom crim is meant to be class

If you don't mind subtitles Braquo is worth a look. It's a Paris based show about dodgy police and even moodier immigrant gangsters

Nice one. Never really watched a full series subtitled before but if anything it added to it with Gomarrah. I'll get Romanzo Crimanele watched first then try and find the French one. Where do you pick that up to watch?

i just bought them from hmv mate. Braquo might even pop up on the sky box sets
