jazzy

Player Valuation: £70m
I'm sure that we are all keeping our fingers crossed that Andre makes a full recovery from the horrific injury that he suffered v Spurs and comes back at the same physical level as before.

However , as with Seamus , there must be a risk that at least in the short term his mobility and physicality might be compromised.

Regardless does he possess the technical ability to play as a deep lying playmaker a la Pirlo that Carlo is thought to favour ?

In my opinion he could be perfectly suited to a continuity role picking the ball up from the centre half , keeping possession and playing it simple or spraying the ball around as required.

What I'm not so sure about is whether Carlo is prepared to wait for him to fully recover before he goes into the market for such a player.

Thoughts ?

No.

System will need to suit Gomes. That position does not.

No. Lots of reason he is not suitable. Just sign an Italian who is well verse in this role and let Gomes do what he is good at without being burden with something he is not accustomed to.

Pirlo.webp
