How many of you lids play? I picked it up about 5 years ago. Still have the "bug". First goal was to break 100...did that pretty quick...next was 90...did that in about 6 months. Now trying to break 80...darn hard number to break. In the last couple of months, my low scores have been 80, 81, 82, 83, 83, 84...just can't seem to get beyond that barrier.

Shot 87 today...whatever...wasn't really into it...and darn near froze on the last couple of holes. So...golf anyone?

I was boss at it as a kid. Like one of the best in Liverpool. But I think that was because my Dad likes it. As soon as I developed a brain of my own at about 8 or 9 I decided it was sh*t and haven't played but once since. I went out for a round in the summer using the old man's clubs and found I was absolutely bollocks and spazzed almost every shot. I even drove one onto the fairway to my right. I find it boring, slow and sh*t but I've got massive respect for those who are good at it and can go out in the freezing cold to play - that's the worst part.

Golf was invented to spend time with the people you are playing it with. Masculine sport - says a lot about marriage.

I love to play and watch it on TV.

Unfortunately, with two kids, it's tough to spend that much time on the course anymore. I'll pick it back up I'm sure as the kids get older. It really is a lot of fun.

i tried to start that hoppy but didnt have time after little-felli was born.

i did hole in one last summer, though. i rarely play but it was documented case. it was par 3. felt awesome.

I was looking to start in the summer and mentioned it on here, looking for advice on clubs etc.

Started in August and was complete gash!!!! I have slowly got better and have now broke 100. I am having lessons, which is really helping. Small changes to my swing have made me much better, well I feel im hitting the ball cleaner and further. Still got some lessons left so can only improve.

Finding it hard to get out at the moment due to snow in Lincolnshire but try to get out at least twice a month. Not a club member but local 9 hole is £250 so tempted for next year.

Love the game, such a nice way to spend a day in the summer. Off to South Africa in 6 weeks and cant wait to play (get burnt) over there.

I used to play every weekend when I was around 15-17. I wasn't that good and my best score was something like 86. I stopped playing because none of my mates could be arsed with it any more, can't blame them really. I think I might get back in to it this year though.

I think I might watch a bit of golf now -----http://www.google.com.au/search?q=natalie+gulbis&hl=en&prmd=imvnso&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=djc6T9frJ8-UiQfw28GWCg&ved=0CEUQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=667
