Seems to be a meeting place for the privileged and self important. Anyone who watches it on television must be beyond dull.

Like you work and family commitments has curtailed the amount I’ve played in recent years. As you said it’s a great social sport and unlike many other sports due to the handicapping system, you can beat players who are better then you. As for watching it on tv, Sunday night watching the back 9 at Augusta or the final round of the open championship are still two of my favourite sporting occasions.
