We normally have a thread to discuss the major golf tournaments and the US PGA starts on Thursday.

i normally like to have a bet and with the likes of SkyBet offering enhanced place terms for first 11, I’ll be looking to back a few big priced ones but ‘in play’ betting after the cut usually offers the best value.

Xander Schauffele doesn’t fall into big priced category, but he‘ll be one I‘ll be looking for in each major this season.
 

I agree- Xander is always worth a shout a very talented golfer. Really looking forward to watching over the weekend. Harding Park is a municipal course which is a nice change of pace. From what I’m reading, it seems it may not be an advantageous layout for the bomb and gaugers.

The beauty of golf is in-play betting, it’s why I’d rarely back anybody under 33-1. One of the favourites drops a shot on the first and all of a sudden the price goes out.

It’s been great to literally listen in to players and caddies talking over the shots.
The caddies know the courses inside out and the input they give the player is remarkable.

So Fowler started in second place, one shot off the lead and his final round he posted +3 and finished in a tie for 15th.

Shame Thomas won and Berger was second, as I fancy both to go well in the PGA this week and price will shorten a bit now. Matty Fitzpatrick played well and I’ve won a few bob backing him to place in big tournaments before.
Got a feeling Patrick Cantalay may have a good week too.
