Golf Courses......

Really looking at going to this this year. A few of us are wanting to go but but have absolutely no idea about transport around Southport and imagine hotels will be few and far between.

Basically we want to have a few drinks and not be stranded in the 1950s. Anyone have any advice?
May be a bit downmarket but my brother in law has booked into Pontins for about fifty pounds for three days.
 


Played one in Myanmar (Burma) it had a funny name which I don't recall, beautiful course and I remember getting a free drop because there was some weird looking lizard in a tree above my ball. Female caddy's too
