What’s interesting about Mickelson’s comments is that he has potentially burnt all his bridges. The players and the PGA Tour are angry with him, he’s been dropped by at least one sponsor. And then has said loads of stuff that will really annoy the Saudis too (I would use a stronger word than annoy but the swear filter won’t allow it). He’s more than set for life regardless so doubt he’ll lose much sleep over it but it’s still pretty impressive how much of a mess he’s managed to make of this.
As a fellow lefty i always cheered for him. But some real strange stuff said about this saudi tour.

Very strange from Mickelson, I mean it was obvious that Dechambeau would try to jump into bed with them but surprised at some of the others, like Westwood and Poulter.
I think the big thing for me was as soon as Woods was more vocal about being against it I think a few of them who were publicly/privately considering it suddenly thought how idiotic they were being. I mean, a normal PGA Tour event last week, nothing major about it, nothing truly special about it like the Players or the Arnold Palmer and the prize fund was over $12 million. Do they really need any more and for what, to be the puppets for even greedier people?
