Going travelling round Thailand for a month in August with my mate. Something I've always wanted to do, but I don't have the slightest clue as to what route I should take and how I should plan it.

Basic plan so far is to start off in Bangkok and work my way right down to Singapore as I have a friend living there. I don't want to go to Laos or Cambodia as they're not really on course, but if there's anything there that's considered unmissalbe then I would infact consider it.

I would really like to see all the best Islands but there seems to be so many? Will also head through Malaysia en route to Singapore but I'm not to arsed about spending too much time there.

Any help, advice, recommendations would be much appreciated!

Danke.

Hahahaha.

I thought a bucket of beers bought me some goodwill Si good sir!

I apologise! You get to play that 'bought you and your mates a beer' card three more times though.

Also, that quote in your signature is disturbing quite frankly.

Nothing really much to see in the South unless you like beaches (I don't).

Phuket has some nice ones but is expensive, as are the whores (to be found in Soi Eric if you were wondering).

Samui was the backpacker island, maybe still is but it was going up market.

Koh Pangan is where they have the Full Moon parties.

Krabi is the latest backpacker destination. You can get to Koh Tarpu where they made a James Bond movie from there for a day trip.

Haad Yai is the last stop down before you get into Malaysia and your last chance for some whoring, stick to the massage parlours.

Ipoh, Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands and KL in Malaysia are nice places and Singapore is great but expensive.

My recommendation is to party in Bangkok and Pattaya for a couple of weeks, hop on an Air Asia flight down to Singapore for a week to see your mate and give your dick a rest then back to Pattaya / Bangkok for your final week of partying.

Oh and you've missed your flight if you're going in August, it's November now.

Unmissable places in Laos - Vientiane and Luang Prabang, take the road trip one way and the boat trip the other. Plain of Jars if you can get there.

Unmissable places in Kampuchea - Angkor Wat, one of the most unmissable places in the world.
