Going on holiday with my mates...

Little unorthodox, but if you're after a big clubbing experience and are really in to your house music, then Berlin would not be a bad suggestion; I live here now and it's ace! Dead hot in the summer, some of the best clubs in the world (Berghain, Watergate). Obviously you'd be missing out on the beach, but there's a lot of beach style bars on the river spree which are just as good. Probably very little chance of it happening lol but I'd recommend considering it for a weekend break at least. It's a very cheap place too! Also some serious raves go on during summer too. It's awesome basically!

Here's my fav outdoor bar in the summer, it's called 'Badeschiff', has a swimming pool on the river...there's loads more places like this too:

The mighty Berghain. Probably the most popular club in Europe, it's an old power station converted into a super Nightclub (deserves 3 pics!)

I'm going to Zante again, went in 2011 and it wasn't even that good. All my mates are going so basically I either go there or don't go away so I've went for it.

Berlin is brilliant, fantastic city. Went a few years ago on a school trip when I was 16, ended up getting smashed in some Irish bar with all my teachers and the other people on the trip, had my first ever hangover the next day and had to do a walking tour of Berlin, which wasn't to fun. Been wanting to go back ever since I went as we didn't do a lot of the things there that I wanted to do and didn't realise there was things like the pictures you posted. Will definitely consider that for a weekend away or something like that.

Also off topic, what is it like to live there, I fancy moving abroad when I finish uni and Germany just seems really appealing to me as I enjoyed my time there and there seemed like there was a lot to do.

It's a very move-able place if that makes sense. A LOT of English, Americans and Austrailians here, and you can easily get by with English; literally everyone speaks it...it's quite weird sometimes actually how it can at times be the most spoken language despite being in the German capital. Very cheap too, unlike most other German cities (especially Munich, Frankfurt!). For a decent flat or sub-let room your looking no more than 300 - 400 Euros per month (all bills included)...and this is for a genuinely decent apartment.

As for work it's got very high unemployment (which is why it's so cheap, but some parts of the city are very rich...rich get richer poor get poorer all that BS), but you could easily get a job teaching english or at a hostel and have enough money to live comfortably on. I actually got lucky and landed a job with Fab (http://eu.fab.com/)

It's a massive party city too, there's sooo soo many clubs, most of them being House/Techno. There's a very anti-mainstream/commercial vibe to the place, which as a result means there's pretty much 0 scallies, but there's a lot of wierdo's and hippy-ish people about too lol. Some clubs are quite hard to get in to; complete opposite to Liverpool (except for Garlands ha), in the sense that if you're dressed up too smartly then there's pretty much no chance you're getting in anywhere. But the whole club scene is incredible mate.

Definitely worth looking into, would recommend!

Edit: Forgot to mention the weather. Pretty consistent, very hot in the summer, and stupidly cold in the winter, but it rarely rains. Get a LOT of snow. A lot more goes on in the summer, more tourists, more clubs open mid week, more outdoor bars etc
