Anyone remember The Victor, and especially Alf Tupper, 'The tough of the Track'.

As I recall, he would be up all night doing a welding job, 2 hour's sleep, and a pie and chip breakfast.

Then he would wipe the floor with some posh opponents in the 300 meter's.
 
The trick is loose fitting undies with a belt on your kecks instead of all this skinny fit crap. Oh.

Only after being spiked on the first track by one of the rotten cads.

Always got the Victor because my dad wanted to read it. Schnell. Gotten himmel. Tommy for you see var ist over.

Frankly we can't be surprised by Brexit if that was our formative literature.

Commando were also good but rarely bought. They were for reading through at WH Smiths were no one cared how long you were stood there reading them.
