Hello there. Been lurking on here for a while now, about time I contributed something now and then.

Where about are you from?: South London, now in the Netherlands
How did you find these forums?: No idea
How did you become an Evertonian?: Glory kid from the 80s. Also wasn't actively discouraged by the rest of the family. Grandad seemed to consider Everton his second team.
Your all-time favourite Everton player?: Sheedy
Your current favourite player?: Only one game in but I really think Allan will be superb. I like Mina and Bernard too, not necessarily as players (they are ok) but because the seem like such decent people.
Pineapple on Pizza, Is it socially acceptable? What are your views?: Don't really care for pineapple as a food, so no thanks. Beautiful looking fruit though. Also a viable weapon in a pinch

Started following Everton at around the same time then. However, not a gloryhunter but more like destiny that put Everton on my way. Proved to be a huge roadblock I never managed my way around.

What part of The Netherlands are you living?

Unless you are provided with some strong guidance when you are 5 or 6 (my parents support different teams) or come to your senses when you are older and switch allegiances to someone more local (too stubborn for that), Everton or Liverpool was the choice for me at the time. So glad I went blue. Never really a choice to be fair, always hated the other lot, even then.
Most of the football I've watched live has been local non-league, but always going to support Everton.

Living in Hilversum. You got a Dutch team?

Living in the south of Holland, near Sittard. Followed the 'always support your locals' principle over here, so life long Fortuna Sittard fan. Also the reason I became an Evertonian, as both teams met in the ECWC in 1985. Went to the match in Sittard at the age of 13, got hooked by Everton and never looked back.

Nice one. Mrs is from North Limburg and her dad <sort of> supports NEC. I haven't really been interested in Dutch football since I've been here, but I might start if Covid goes away and I can get to matches. Not sure what my local club would be though, probably Ajax, but they're a bit too mainstream for me...

If you go for Eredivisie, FC Utrecht would be a good bet. More teams around you in the first division. But they mainly play on Friday night.
