I get the Robles love right now,but it's not like he's been terribly challenged. I seem to recall some dire outings when Tim was out over the last couple years.

Maybe he can be "The Man", but I'd still be on the look out for an improvement.

...I suspect this is the case as far as RM is concerned. Let's not forget he brought Robles in yet he has continually kept the faith with Howard. It's a results game and this suggests the manager might have reservations about Robles. Perhaps he can do enough for the remainder of the season to be considered no1 but I think a new keeper will be on the agenda.

One other point about Robles, he's a big old unit but he seems to be carrying a bit of access weight to me. That might be because he hasn't played truly competitive footy for a while or I might just be wrong. Anyway, good luck to him.

Three 3-0 scores in a week - our results have certainly improved!

But it's very difficult to establish cause and effect - it could be for one of several reasons.

Or it could simply be that our luck has changed.

Anyway, I thought Robles should have had his chance last season. He should keep his place now.

Something had to change after that pathetic showing against Swansea. The two players at the heart of the mistakes have been "dropped" and the team is playing better. Lennon is good defensively too.

Something that may have been unnoticed the other day is that a few times Jagielka had the ball towards the corner, and laid it off to Joel, who was several feet to the side of the goal posts, and took a few steps into the pass to boot it upfield. One time in particular, it made Diouf look nowhere near it. Howard could learn a thing or two, stark contrast to the Swansea incident

I noticed that! ;)

We're defending more as a team.

I'm sure we are. But the last three teams that we've faced have offered so little threat in attack. It's hard to be sure how much our better defending is due to the changes.

I do like our current shape, but I would like us to have a little more confidence in attack against some of our weaker opponents - say the teams currently below us in the table. There must still be opportunities for Mirallas and Deulofeu to contribute.

But three 3-0 wins in a week- that is just wonderful!
