How is it that we have a 'Europe standard' goal difference without the European dream? Dog [Poor language removed] Chelsea and Liverpool are sending us to shame!! Sub selection is on the agenda!!

On the other hand, you could say we've been incredibly unlucky and it bodes well for next season. Generally speaking, goal differential is a better way to predict where you'll finish in the league next season than where you finish this season actually is.

Of course, this is Everton, so that probably doesn't hold.

pity we don't play super rugby where you get an extra point for scoring more

Because when we lose it's normally to a single goal (that we've conceded late on against a side we've been better than for the majority of the game but were unable to the see the game out against).

This. we lose our games 3-2 or 4-3 (I think we've only lost to City and Utd by more than a goal) but when we win it's by 2,3 or even 4 goals.
