I've been surprised at the amount of people I've seen run Linux on their laptops recently, so I was just wondering if anyone here has given Microsoft the middle finger and joined the free software revolution?

How old were the laptops...
All new, as far as I can tell.
I've been running it as my daily driver since 2009 and not looked back.
I'm currently running Arch on my laptop. Still Windows on computer because I play games quite a lot. I used to have a dual boot on my last computer, but I haven't gotten around to sorting that out on this one yet.
Wait, what's so nice to use, Fedora or Gnome?I miss Arch, but maintaining it became a second job.
I run Fedora these days, not a huge fan of GNOME's performance, but it's so nice to use!

Because if you mean Gnome (despite its performance) then I agree. I've tried a bunch of other environments, and none compare to it. I had a few issues with gdm recently, but other than that, it's pretty flawless for me. ^^
