All new, as far as I can tell.

I've been running it as my daily driver since 2009 and not looked back.

That's good; a sign of progress anyhow. Used to dabble in it a lot more in the past...mainly Gentoo and Arch; Suse way back in the early 2k's. Just faded out of it over time because of a lack of software from major vendors. You can only fart around with running dual-boot or two box systems for so long before it gets old. I'm sure I'll pop back in at some point.

i went Mac a couple of years ago and compared to windows, its fab. Still on windows at work though. Having tried something else if I went back to a windows machine I'd defo try another OS

Still use Windows on laptop (other OSs elsewhere) but Apache Open Office for years now. Have a couple of mates running Linux OSs but not exclusively.

Been using Mint/Ubuntu and Debian exclusively for yonks now. Drivers can be a pain if you don't research your hardware/design your systems around the intended function.

I'm currently running Arch on my laptop. Still Windows on computer because I play games quite a lot. I used to have a dual boot on my last computer, but I haven't gotten around to sorting that out on this one yet.

You'll find it more common due to power savings extended battery life etc.. Lets face it most of our stuff is either in the cloud or provided by a SaaS platform. Im paying monthly for these services why should i pay for an OS (you will have to subscribe at some point to office365 for windows 10 new features )

I miss Arch, but maintaining it became a second job.

I run Fedora these days, not a huge fan of GNOME's performance, but it's so nice to use!

Wait, what's so nice to use, Fedora or Gnome?

Because if you mean Gnome (despite its performance) then I agree. I've tried a bunch of other environments, and none compare to it. I had a few issues with gdm recently, but other than that, it's pretty flawless for me. ^^

I adore the middle ground Fedora offers when it comes to updates. I also think Flatpaks are the future of software distribution on the Linux desktop. I also really like SELinux.

Fedora is great. Give it a go.
