EFC David

Player Valuation: £30m
Best central midfielder the Premiership has ever seen? better than Patrick Vieira, better than Paul Scholes, better than Frank Lampard, better than Cesc Fabregas, better than Stevie Slipard?

Came as a defensive midfielder that could play centre back but he has 20 Premiership goals and 8 assists this season, Slipard and Lampard more or less played as number 10's when in there prime.

It was a complete joke that GBH was even nominated for PFA Player of the Year never mind take second place. He's scored pens and pinged a few balls about. Toure is in a different class. The awards should be end of the season. I wonder how many votes he'd get right now?

Viera and Keane were better

There's quite simply no way. Vieira is the closest you'd get to him, but Keane? No way he had the same touch, technique, pace and range of passing as Yaya has. Yaya makes everything look so easy, whereas Keane had to bust a gut

It has to be an old pals act, for me Henderson's been far better this season for me.

It's sentiment, I suppose. Why I dont know. If I was a player I'd be well aware what a snide that box headed divvy has been throughout his career.

I wouldn't have Gerrard in the top five midfielders, nevermind top two players. Not bias there either; I think he's been defensively suspect in a defensive unit that has shipped goals and been bailed out over and over by the front line. He disappeared in games all the time in the early part of the season too. Genuinely and without a scrap of bias, Barry and McCarthy and, amazingly, Henderson have all been better. Then you have Ramsey who had a far great dynamic impact than Gerrard, albeit cut short by injury. Then Lallana, who has been fantastic. Even unsung heroes like Davis at Southampton who has been quietly incredible for them all year and is unfortunate to be outshone by the likes of Lallana at the same club.

Yaya is an animal of a midfielder, best in the league without question. Don't think he's done enough yet to be considered the best ever though.

Toure belongs in the group of five outstanding midfielders of the premier league era with Vieira, Keane, Scholes and Lampard.

Think he needs a good partner in midfield because he can be suspect and lazy defensively at times but when hes going forward hes like a tank

Best in the league currently by a country mile. Best prem midfielder ever though..... Paul Scholes for me. To be put in this category, surely you have to have been playing in this league for years and to have at least won the title ?

The fact Gerrard was even nominated, let alone grabbing 2nd is yet further proof of the kopite love in this league has been involved in. Overwhelming evidence is an understatement. This league couldn't have libpool going on to win the one pot Gerrard and the rest have been desperate for, without Gerrard being highlighted as a key figure in it, though in actual reality he has been average at best.

Had Suarez only scored around 20, I'm convinced the turf crawler would of claimed it. I've been frowning about these awards since Giggs won it.

Yaya's engine always looks a bit suspect when I've seen him, relative to other elite midfielders. His style is easy to misjudge I guess - a languid style can mask gut-busting effort - but I think he's happy to duck a few shifts defensively. Needs a balancing player to partner in midfield more than others in his class IMHO.

He's an absolute beast, one of the best modern day midfielders without question.

I think City got a steal at £24mill to be honest, would walk into any team in the world and be a star player.
