Not a bad look at the burgeoning global appeal of English Football. And here I was going to start a rant to get a better sponsor for the shirt! It seems Asia is a massive market and I know we got a glimpse of that with the ex-Thai prime minister (and ousted crook?) that recently bought a club. While all of this growth will certainly help Everton it doesn't do anything to separate them from their peers. It may broaden the gap between Saturday and Sunday clubs however making it even more difficult to 'stay-up' once promoted. The flip side is that relegation good spell doom for some teams if they don't get right back up.

Good article mate, nice find. It shows we are moving in the right direction, now we just need to start entering these tournaments and getting our team face to face with the future audiences.

I was thinking about this whilst walking the dog today. If we were to be bought out then attacking the Asian market would certainly be done more aggressively than we are at the moment because it does have such high earning potential.

We already have a connection to asia.. our sponsor Chang. But we've not really used that too much to get a foothold in Asia have we? Our precamps goes to USA instead, while it's another untapped area with huge money, I can't see how a trip to asia would be a mistake. Getting a big suportergroup in Japan and start selling things there..

Got one already! (y) b)

I suspect with all the counterfeiting in Asia the money isn't there just yet but getting the fan base out there will be important for when the money does come and business can be a bit more legit.

I'm of the impression that despite the black market on merchandise that sales are still way ahead of lots of other markets outside or Europe. The lure of China alone is worth it as the upside is tremendous.

BWAH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!! Couldn't have happened to a more deserving team!!!!

God I HATE BRUM!!!!!

[Poor language removed]!

Sorry, My Tourette's is subsiding right now. But I really do hate Birmingham.

gone are the days when the best players in the world are european or south american. football is into a new era and the game will only get bigger.
