Giving up for good

I gave up using e-cigs. Having tried literally everything before at some point.

Use it totally on its own, don't be tempted to have odd cig, as that'll lead to failure.

I gave up completely after 6 weeks with the e-cig and haven't smoked since - 2 and half years later

That's the hope yeah. My main addiction isn't to smoking but to routine. I tend to have a smoke at certain points of the day and have triggers, like starting a new season on fifa haha. With the e cig I'm hoping once the routine is broken then the cravings will be a lot less and I can down grade the dosage until I don't need it. Fingers crossed.

  1. Been trying it out today and just had a ciggie outside the chippy and could notice the taste in my mouth and that was after a few hours. That may be the ultimate deterrent if the taste is too bad in the end

Just think of all the Tax you're keeping out of the governments pocket and in your own. That as well as the new baby should do you good!

I've not smoked for a few years now, but you will always have deep down that urge to have a ciggie after a few drinks. I've smoked on two occasions this year when drunk, luckily for me the next day i've never been tempted to carry it on.

It's an addiction i'm stuck with unfortunately but it gets easier to manage with time.

My Dad successfully quit on an e-cig after trying the patches and the like and never lasting on them. He had smoked for 46 years but he isn't having a problem with the e-cig, although he has invested in a spare because he keeps misplacing it.

Nearly twelve months now which is by far the longest he's ever gone.

The vanilla one smells lovely.

Good luck mate!

Thanks guys! Not going to be an overnight change but got the inspiration coming in a few weeks so no reason to relapse. That and the missus will kill me Iif I buy any more lol

oh and its neither here nor there but me picking on up today and starting to use it, happens to be my son's birthday. Not on purpose like but if I ever needed a sign....
