Football pundits on Irish television were always having a go at him when he did play. possibly because he was not a great hit at manure, but even they acknowledge he is way better than any of the present Irish midfield. I just hope he does not do a Stephen Ireland and walk away for good from international football.

i remember though when he signed for us, he done an interview stating that he hopes playing regular football will always guarantee him getting him the ireland squad. now he has and shown how good he is, and still cant make the team i think he has just thought screw it, i'm not bothered, he's a blue through and through now
