Whoever is in form, maybe even both. Depends how McCarthy, Barkley and Osman are playing at the time in the middle too.

Agreed. But I'm confident the only time we'll be playing without a striker is when Jelavic is on the pitch.

Cannot for the life of me how Osman will be in the first 11 now, unless there are injuries to others!!

rate barry higher but gibson has done a good job for us dispite him being quite a limited player.

Gibbo is overrated i think, hoping Barry is a bit more dynamic and can score a goal or 2, unlike Gibbo.

It is up to Barry to force his way into the team. Difficult one to judge this. If it is true we are paying Barry 60k+ a week to come here than I hardly think he is going to swap the bench at city for Everton. There again McCarthy has cost 13m and you would expect him to come into the side. However judging by gibsons performances and the difference points wise (stats say we are so much better with him in the side) it would be difficult to leave him out. I think and would like to see Gibson and Barry start as holding players in front of the back 4. McCarthy can then be gently integrated into the team via the bench and occasional start whilst he finds his feet.
