Been fun in work today, only a couple of Germans in but still been fun.

I am, however, realistic (I am not one of those kopite like England fans). France is way too soon but football can throw up surprises and if we can get a few games on the trot playing like that then we could very well be in the mix.

Bring Barkley in for Henderson and that is a very good footballing midfield (I actually don't mind Lallana) with Dier marshalling in front of the back 4, which still needs some work.

The Scot's taking our win well and in good spirit I see

THE closer it gets, the more it stings. By the time the European Championships actually kick off in France this summer, Scotland’s pain will feel all-consuming, especially now our nearest and dearest appear capable of blowing all-comers away.

It’s not yet time to panic even if England looked frighteningly slick against the Germans on Saturday night. After all, Roy Hodgson still has to shoehorn the bombproof Wayne Rooney back into his starting line-up and when he does, a great deal of the balance and energy he stumbled across in Berlin will be compromised.

Right now England’s manager and captain might just be our greatest allies which is a sorry state of affairs for a country still licking some lion rampant-sized wounds, five months on from the early end of our own European odyssey.
