GB Olympic Squad...minus the Welsh

Bale himself could challenge that under the Human Rights Act and the European Convention on Human Rights.

Stupid parochial FAW idiots.

Bigoted too.

If it were the other way round they'd be kicking off. And my old man's welsh. me Ma's english.

So this type of thing ****es me right off.

The quality of decision making in the FAW is amply illustrated by two things - firstly the speed with which they sacked Terry Yorath after he failed to qualify for USA '94 (which of course came down to Bodin missing that penalty), and second the way in which they banned / helped to ban Wrexham, Cardiff and Swansea from playing in the Welsh Cup - despite common sense, economics and football logic all suggesting that having one of the three best Welsh sides competing in Europe might be better than having a succession of nonentities.

Is right aswell! Why should the FAW risk losing their players? If they lose it won't be the fault of the English players anyway.

poor and backwards by the FAW, would their players not benefit from playing in such a tournament?

it would be great for wales to qualify for a world cup/euros and this experience could be a real positive for them and the welsh players. FIFA have assured them by letter that this will not effect their sovereignty so some small mindedness is coming into play.
