Be a long time until we see such a naturally gifted player grace the game again... He coulda been anything he wanted to achieve in the game..... An unbelievable talent... Sadly never fulfilled.

Three months off the booze apparently, looks better for putting some weight on but still looks about ten years older than he is. Hope he keeps it up, was a hero to many of us who watched Italia 90 as kids.

The perfect example to young lads that come through into the game today of what not to do, and who not to trust.
Exploited, and left on the slag-heap. A real shame for a once in a generation player. Brains in his boots and nothing to turn to when his playing days were over. It's some state of affairs when its Walter Smith that is the gentle hand of care in someones life. I want to throw blame at the FA and all his clubs but it would be unfair - such is the frustration and mystery of the man.

Allways wonder what might have been if he signed for Salex at Man utd in 1988. Would it have made a difference or would the demons have still found him out.
