Gazza melting down on twitter

I will never forget that shaming cup tie at Middlesborough, when Walters career at Everton came to an end. The only player for Everton that day who was fit to wear the shirt was Gazza, who never stopped trying, and ran himself into the ground for the cause. He was well past it, but still had pride in his own performance and loyalty to the club that signed him. The other ten, I have never forgiven. And he was a genuinely funny guy. Remember him muggingand shouting 'Don't Go' when King Smurf was being interviewed?

Whoever let him set up his own account is a bit like given Jimmy Savile the keys to the childrens ward. Some one should've stepped in.

Very sad,Gary Lineker said a few weeks back that they couldn't do any more.

I believe Lineker and a few others rallied round a few years ago to pay for him to go to the Priory. They have since said they won't be paying again as no one can help himself expect himself . Tragic and I think the only thing that can help stay alive is being sectioned, where hopefully he can dry out properly and come to terms with his alcoholism.

Yeah was Lineker, Piers Morgan and Chris Evans. At the time they said it it was probably his last chance to fight the disease and unfortunately it looks to have failed, think he has been sectioned at least twice since.

Looks like some bird has been messing with his head and selling stories to the press
pretty sad really when some gutter press editor pays people to sit outside peoples houses to watch their lives go off the rail just to write about it
personally i don't read about his personal life it's boring i remember him as a football genuis not the little sad [Poor language removed] he is now
leave him alone

I don't know how to feel about him...

There, for the grace of God...

But he has had many, many, many chances and just failed to do anything about his problems.

I had a pint with him at Izmir airport after the Turkey v England match in about 93. He was more interested in listening to our tales of travelling/watching football, than we were about him. What a top bloke he was, who knew what the fans mean to the game that he loves.

I'll always remember him for that more than anything, and I'll always love the fella. I genuinely hope he works out how to turn his life around

Sad when anyone's life sinks to that level. Setting it splashed across social media like some tacky soap opera only seems to makes it worse.

Hopefully he can pull himself out of his mire. I fear it may be too late.

Very sad to see.

gets to a point where you can't help someone anymore. needs to be sectioned and have constant watching, otherwise he's just going to die.

truth is, he has had a lot of money spent on him, and a lot of people who have tried to help him, all of which has failed.

Feel sorry for him and the whole mental illness situation is a horrible and tragic thing, but there is not much more people can now do to help him unless his care is taken out of his hands completely and he is put into care essentially.
