With homophobia fresh in the mind ie Thomas Hitzlsperger having to wait to retire to come out. I'd like to hear from gay Evertonians on this that are out of the closet. Does the lifestyle of being a football fan make it any more difficult to be out there? When chatting away with fellow Evertonians in the Pubs or Goodison do you shy away from alluding to your sexuality? In other words on match day would you feel the need to conceal yourself more so than the average night out? Do you find it to be true that homophobia is more alive in the football world than the normal? I hope it can be a good weight for discussion.
