The inquest into the death of Wales football manager Gary Speed has been told by the team's GP that he showed no signs of stress and depression.
The evidence was given by Dr Mark Ridgewell on Speed, 42, who played for a number of Premier League clubs.
Speed was found by his wife, Louise, hanged at their home in Huntington, near Chester, in November.
Five statements will be read, including one from his wife, and friend and ex-England captain Alan Shearer.
Shearer was with Speed the day before he was found dead in November.
Dr Bob Muggleton, the medical officer at Sheffield United - the club Speed managed before taking on the Wales job - told the inquest in Warrington that he had worked with him until 2010 and no mental health issues were raised during that time.
Mrs Speed arrived at the inquest in Warrington shortly before it began with a number of family and friends.
The League Managers' Association is expected to release a statement on her behalf after the hearing.
An inquest was previously opened and adjourned a couple of days after his death.
That earlier brief hearing was told that his wife Louise found her husband's body just before 07:00 GMT on 27 November and called the ambulance service, but police were not treating the death as suspicious.
The hearing was also told that reports were being awaited from the pathologist.
