Wouldn't say blitzed it. Plus his SPL performances were second to Stokes, the second best striker at Celtic? Wow. I'll go get my chequebook...

20 odd goals in the championship isn't to bad for a 20 year old. Mark my words will be an England international in a couple years time. Has a great appetite for the contest and knows where the goals are. Will thrive in whatever league he goes to just like Jelavic and Steven Fletcher before him.

He's a striker that works off tap-ins, without the class, ability, or football smarts of Jelavic. Goes missing for sections of the game and his 2011/12 has been patchy at best. Sure he played well in 2010/11, but he was found out in the next season and Celtic cannot rely on him to win them a game, that's Stokes.

There's some Nigerian mid/forward in the SPL at the moment making some noise, Sone Aluko, I'd be looking at trying to lure him down south.

The whole point of a striker is to finish off the good work of the midfield, and that is exactly what he does. Every striker will go missing for sections its just part and parcel of the hard task they have.
he sure was found out this season to wasn't he? 29 goals just doesn't cut it these days I guess.
Aluko? That man sums up pretty much everything you have said about Hooper. Smashed the smaller clubs goes missing when it matters, like the Celtic V Rangers derby not so long ago.

Mate are you for real, the kid scored goal of the season against Celtic hardly two months ago. Aluko is a class above Hooper and could go far, he's only 23. Meantime Andy Little shows more promise in the SPL than Hooper. Hooper's a hack mate, don't be fooled by his Golden Boot award.

How can they show more promise when Hooper had achieved twice of what Aluko has and is only a year older. Aluko is a good player don't get me wrong but Hooper is a proven striker in the SPL now. Come back to me when Aluko strings two good seasons together not two good months.

I'm with Qwerty here.

Hooper is the best striker in Scottish football (not hard after we stole the real best one).

Stokes is consistently used as a super sub which tells its own story, and Aluko while very skilful, isn't really a striker an is very inconsistent.

He's a bit crass I'd say, not quite EPL standard. A good Championship player at best.

When have i heard that before, maybe about the recent striker we bought from the same league?!.

And you think Aluko is better!. Jeeeeez.

Hooper is a Michael Owen type of striker, plays on the shoulder and as good movement and can definitely finish. He doesnt really get involved with the build up but is always there or there abouts to get a goal.

He did well in the championship for a poor Scunny side and then went to the SPL and did well up there too, also got goals in Europe aswell. Still young and time to improve more and will one day come down to the prem and IMO do well.

I miss the days when scottish football was actually good and when players from up there were mentioned you took notice now its like talking about a league one striker making the step up. I don't follow scottish football anymore so can't say much about cooper, you don't know how good they will be in the prem until you try them, the prem is a hard league to score 15+ league goals a season in and only a select few do it consistently.
