Decided that our garden could do with a hedge. Where's good in the Liverpool area for saplings?

Really enjoy gardening, though I am pretty rubbish at it. Takes my mind off Everton and other things that can aggravate me.
 

My wife won't let me work on her overgrown bush, she said if I'm not allowed around the back of your potting shed your not getting near my bush, I'm worried she might get gus the neighbour to do it again, they must be gardening together because a friend of mine told me don't you realise the fungus is having with your wife.

....be careful, those little saplings can cost you a fortune when they grow to really big fellas in future years. Stick to privets rather than trees, easier to manage. I'm not one for gardens but have made a bit of an effort since I retired 12 months ago. I buy stuff on line, I find Waitrose really good.

why do you need a hedge, decorative or to block off next door ect?
