Board games are ace. Kind of pricey though. I normally pick up a few a year. Pandemic, Elder Signs, Ticket to Ride. All good stuff.

Normally don't go in for Card games, although Cards Against Humanity was quite funny the first time I played it on a heavy drinking day with old friends.

I tend to like the games in which chance plays a more minor role. The classic board games are pretty meh, but there are a lot of really good ones out there.

I've got my eye on Pandemic, Ticket to ride. Too many to choose from.

Pandemic is brilliant for a co-op experience. The main issue with Co-Op though is that once you play it enough you get your strategies down and only bad luck prevents total all consuming victory.

I really enjoy Ticket To Ride as a simple adversarial game. Normally have only played it two player, but it seems like it would be loads of fun with more players.

Risk, I haven't played it for a while but if you want to see someone fume and go into meltdown its great.

Yeah can be enjoyable but not played this for years, also sick of Monopoly, which is why I'm trying to find a new game, but spoilt for choice as there so many amazing games out there.

The Pointless board game is alright, although if you're familiar with the show you might have heard a lot of the questions already.

Rex: Twilight Imperium is an awesome fantasy board game based on the Dune universe and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes strategy games and has five like-minded friends.

Settlers of Catan is great with 3-5 other people too, although you need an expansion pack for 6 players. It's based on collecting resources to build a colony and it's good fun.

5 second rule is just a simple family board game. You're given a category like "car manufacturing companies" or "African Countries" and you have to think of three things in that group before 5 seconds is up. It's great craic although myself and one particular friend have had pretty heated debates over some of the more subjective categories.
