Galacticos vs Barcelona

In my lifetime, one of the best teams I have ever seen was Real Madrid's 'galactico' team, the team consisting of the likes of Hierro, Roberto Carlos, Makelele, Zidane, Figo and Ronaldo. Now after watching Barcelona absoloutley rip Madrid to pieces today, I now think this team has overtaken the 'galactico' team, some of the football they produce is unreal. Which team do you think was the better team, and in an imaginary scenario where both teams could play each other, who would win?

And finally, Zidane or Messi? (I can't decide!)

Certain members of Barcelona's team are still improving - Messi, Pedro, Busquets, Pique - they'll keep getting better and better.

I'm going for Barcelona here.

Barcelona are amazing in style of play along with ability to bring up kids through their academy that actually stick with the club without always having to buy anyone and everyone. That said, the only knock I have against them is this arrogance that when they just barely get touched, they whine and complain.
