Just read on another site Moyes allegedly met with him over the weekend , his contract at marseille as just expired , he's a versatile player , could be cover for Baines and at centre half, plus if we could get our money back on Heitinga to spend on attacking options this could be a good move , not the best player in the world by any means but neither is Heitinga , sorry if this has already been discussed in another thread folks

Moyes: "Gabriel, we'd love to have you here at Everton."

Heinze: "Sounds great. You're a club on the up and I'd get to play. In addition, I can bring some veteran leadership to the squad."

Moyes: "My thoughts exactly."

Heinze: "Great, what kind of wages are we talking about?"

Moyes: "I was thinking along the lines of 15k - 20k a week."

Heinze: "I'll get back to you..."

Haha I can picture the conversation to go exactly like that

To be fair, we could do worse as a back up to Baines provided the wages were in line. I certainly wouldn't view it as any sort of a long term solution though. I'd also think it would be a one year deal.

You bad man

No seriously.

Good acquisition, experience and cover for Baines as well as the two centre-halves.

Glad to have him here.

would be a good signing actually, good cover for Baines and both centre-halves, hope this one happens actually.

A 33 year old LB? Is Walter Smith manager again?
Just thinking of ways which we can raise money without weakening to much , I think it's pretty obvious we need to sell to buy and if it meant sacrificing Heitnga to sign Nzogbia using Heinze as cover at centre half as well as LB i think it would be a pretty smart move myself , it's prob bull**** like but worth listening out for
