Cork lost to Clare in the hurling and the footballers lost to Louth. Between that and the defeat to Donegal last week, it looks like we'll be spending yet another year in division two.

That was a crucial win for the footballers away to Fermanagh last week. The hurlers almost blew a comfortable lead against an average Waterford team though.

Cork footballers are playing Kildare today at home. Kildare seem to be a bit out of sorts as well, but hopefully we can build on last weeks win.

We probably need two more wins to secure our place in division two for another year.

Cork 2-15 Kildare 3-9 We were six points up at one stage, and it was a shame we didn't go on and really bury Kildare at that point.

Still though that was a much improved second half and we got a crucial win. One more win should see us safe i think.

Waterford actually stopped their losing run down in division four by drawing with Tipperary.

It's a shame they couldn't get the win all the same.
