Fun fairs

I remember an interesting discussion with an EHS manager at work who contended that they were safer than theme parks as the big theme parks only get inspected once or twice a year but the travelling fairs are inspected in every area each time they are put together. Interesting.

Alton Towers probably a lower pregnancy risk though.

On my last visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach we had to undergo a bag search and body scan the equal of any airport I have passed through.

Brings to mind that Sopranos episode when Paulie takes charge of the Church event, and it includes fairground rides. It doesn’t end well. See also the Father Ted and Phoenix Nights episodes featuring fairs. In conclusion, I’m a fan just so long as I don’t physically have to attend them.

Boss when your under 12, swerve if above that age or be rinsed of your cash for rides and your heart will be in your mouth as you watch your kids/nephews dice with death on something that looks like it should be in the Scrap Yard then rinsed again for Carni Burgers at abar £6 quid a go. And you'll wreck your Trabs to boot on the quagmire that the field has become through peoples urine and then hoards of kids treading on it, which they'll inevitably try to sort with a handful of straw.
