My throat still hurts from booing Simon Davies when he was with us

I'm still not sure if we ever got 3pts in a match when Davies started. He was turrible for us. Did pretty good at Fulham though, maybe POY over there once. He said Moyes never gave him a chance even though he had plenty.

AJ the monies was just way too good and he was old. Amazing what we got for him. Probably Moyes's best sale. He went to our FA cup final as a fan didn't he?

McBride: Brian said in an interview that Moyes told him he wanted to get the squad younger and that the move wasn't permanent if he signed. Probably was a mistake given that 30yrs at MLS is nothing like 30yrs of age in the prem. He said he enjoyed his time there.

Kroldup, McBride and Davies (I guess Rooney too) maybe the only 4 players who got better after leaving us?

Seem to remember Davies starting and scoring the winner away at Birmingham 2005ish but totally agree we was really poor for us

As for aj well if he'd not scored two against the rs patience with him would had diminished long long before it was,a poor finisher,alot of deflected goals and his double penalty miss v metalist Kharkiv was unforgivable and he was really slow for a so called quick player and the fee received for him was highway robbery by our club

Materazzi got a hell of a lot better after leaving us for me

Simon Davies was the biggest letdown of that scattergun approach to transfers for the 05/06 season. Matteo Ferrari was the highlight.

Didn't Davies have an issue with shin splints? Hence why he could hardly play back to back games.
