View from the Palace End. Good start, set up well and Royston took his early goal well. Fulham a bit gob smacked for 10 minutes but then just slowly inched their way back in particularly down the left where Royston was giving Hibbo very little cover, and in return Hibbo was giving Royston some ear ache. Moyes then swapped Royston and Osman which shut down the threat from the left which opened up the middle. This was Fulhams best period. Held on till half time. Royston and Ossie swapped back and really it was a pretty dull affair after that. The inevitable equaliser came. Louis (for an anonymous Vellios) started slowly but soon picked up the pace and was at least trying to hold the ball up and defend from the front. Then two more masterly subs by Moyes and Everton go 4-4-2. (I'll say that again just in case anyone missed it; "and Everton go 4-4-2.") At last some real urgency particularly from Seamus and after Zamoras Rosenthal like miss two great finishes. Frankly, well deserved. Fulham were poor. I've no idea how they stuck 6 past QPR and suspect we may find out that it was something to do with some Thai betting ring in 2019.
MoM. Difficult really.A number of possibilities but I'll go for Hibbo. Big Up the travelling support as well. Noisy, supportive and humourous as ever. It's a pleasure to be in among them.

Nice one, Alan, I agree with almost all of that although I'd give MoM to Howard, as titanic as Hibbo was. Love going to Fulham - always a good atmosphere. Me and the lass got well-sozzled in the Eight Bells afterwards, too.

Winning a game like that with goals so late on does wonders for morale.

The goal Drenthe scored was class all round, the movement, the skill and the excellent finish. Reminded a little of the Ossie goal against Larissa.

Good goals throughout the game

Good thing, Saha, Drenthe & Rodwell has found the net as well, hopfully this get them onto scoring mode, we should keep Cahill away from the starting line-up until he score a goals from a subsititute appearance.

We should try playing Vellios upfront with Saha playing behind him, with Coleman back on the right then we should have pace on both side from Coleman and Drenthe, I know it would be hard with Moyes not playing Osman, so I guess it would be Osman behind Vellios in the next match.

I was there yesterday and the result did flatter us a bit, but in all we did probably just create more than them. It would have beena different game had Zamora not missed that chance. My gran could haev scored that and she is 97. What was disapointing is how we set up so negative again with Phil neville in midfield. For me fellainin was our best CM out of the 3 early Rodders went missing alot through the game. Drenthe MOM, he ran his socks off and was full of confidence after his early strike. It was good to see him playing and playing well. When moyes changed it after we had conceded and went to a 4-4-2 with Saha and Cahill up top we played much more creative football. I wish he would have the balls to start with it more often. Bring on Chelsea and United.

It has to be said that it would have been a different game had Vellios put his header on target and scored to make it 2-0 early on. Would have been game over. Can't talk about Zamora's miss without mentioning Vellios' miss.

course we can, same as we dont wanna mention the penalty on cahill.

Had a brilliant day at the cottage yesterday, went with me mate, his son and my two girls. The youngest of the 3 children (8 years old) asked me why the ref was a Fulham supporter. This after Cahill was thrown to the ground in the penalty area and Drenthe was ABH’d in the corner. I find the negative comments bemusing, the second half was the best football game I’ve been to this season. End to end, chances for both sides and some nice attacking football. The away support was awe inspiring, when they equalised, after an initial Fulham roar, all you could hear was the Everton chant.
Couldn’t believe how quick the 2nd half went. When Saha scored, I thought there was at least 15 min to go. I was really surprised when the announcer said, straight after the goal; “There will be 3 minutes of injury time.”
All in all a great day, still buzzing, even after a heavy night of celebration. Perhaps I’m too easy to please.

I hope you gave his son 'the talk'. You know what lads are like.

I followed it on a rather crappy stream, and reviewed it on MOTD last night, and this morning again...Drenthe's goal was a beauty, which can also be said for the one we let in...good to see Saha battling again...just hope Timmy starts firing again...

bring on utd
