Hi you all,

I'm coming over with 11 of my friends for the derby game. We fly to Manchester on friday evening, the 27th, and we need to get to Liverpool City Centre. Do you guys know what is the best way to travel from airport to LCC? Train is pretty fast and it costs around £12/person, but if you know some good and reliable taxi/bus companies, I would really appreciate your help, and also if you have some idea of their prices.

Thanks mates, really appreciate your help! (I'm coming over from Finland, so hopefully I get some good ideas from you)

who are you supporting ?

Where are you staying mate? Glad to see I'm not the only non britain who flies in to support the Blues. Can't wait for my first Merseyside derby experience.(y)

I hope your first one is a win dutch, i really do! My 1st derby i went to we got beat my that McCallister free kick when he put the ball forward 10yards

Also my first derby. Been to Goodison few times before, but this is the first "big-game", so really looking forward the athmosphere. We have tickets for the upper gwladys street, so hopefully the team gives us a chance to get loud (and as an answer for chicoazul, there will also be finnish ladies with us, 12 of us altogether). We are staying at the Atlantic Tower, got a very good price thru hotels.com, £30/night/person.

So it seems that the answer for my first question is to take a train to Lpool?

As a tourist in town, can you recommend some good pubs in city center, and also which pub should we go near Goodison before the kick off.

Personally love Flannagan's Apple, for the night out. Irish pub which has a lot of live bands. I'm going to Orry's before kick off. A more quiet pub, in a five minute walk from Goodison. Hopefully going to meet l.c.a.b. afterwards.
