From Liverpool or Chester to Carden Park Hotel...advice needed

Hey all, I think this might be my second thread ever.

I have to fly over to UK in mid November for a work conference that's on a Wednesday.

Am going to fly in and out of Liverpool and not come back until the Sunday so I can catch the Swansea game....hopefully get a ticket.

On the Wed night work puts us up in Carden Park but timing wise I need to fly in on the Tuesday from Barcelona, stay somewhere that night and then make my way to Carden Park on the Wed morning to be there by 12. Work wont cover the cost of Carden Park for more than the 1 night.

So.....I was wondering logistically does it make much difference if I stay in Liverpool or Chester on the Tuesday night and make my way in the morning? Seems pretty straightforward to grab a train in morning from LPL Central to Chester then get a taxi from Chester station.....or would I be better to just stay in Chester? Would much prefer stay in Liverpool, go for a few pints and catch up with a couple of friends.

Cheers!

Stay in Liverpool. There's trains every 15 mins to Chester and it only takes 40 mins to get there.

Plus there's far less fat lads with ear rings and Donnay trabs in Liverpool than Chester.

The only danger of that is the pints on the Tuesday night in a city that's actually fun, and then getting my hungover and/or drunken ass out of bed to make it to a conference where I'm basically a stand in for my boss. But screw it....that's probably what ill do then.

The only reason I said yes was because it pays my flights over and I can stay longer and catch the Everton Football Club that I'm quite fond of.
