Friendly vs Bohemians

But did they always have the seating ? Don't think so.

The Jodi Stand has always had seats, I mean it's visibly a stand created for seating, same as any you have in the UK. It replaced the old stand at the end of the 90s.

The Des Kelly has seats at the front and some terrace behind them, but the terrace has been closed for a good while. This seats were installed on top of terrace, but this happened well prior to 2006.

The seats on the far side were open as recently as 2008, as I remember being sat in them for Drogheda - Dynamo Kiev in the Champion's League, but they've fallen apart since. Much like most of Tolka. If you don't maintain uncovered seating, well, it really does go to ****. Healt & Safety condemned it last season, iirc.

The terrace behind the other goals is no longer owned by Bohs, bizarrely enough.

Anyway, disappointing enough show from Everton, but it might work out to be a good thing for yous - better to come out slowly in a friendly, considering how volatile results from the first weekend of the year can be. I'm sure Moyes will roar the complacency off them!

Best of luck again this year, I'll check in the odd time to see how Coleman and Duffy are getting on, as they're from round my parts!

Fair enough, I stand corrected. The 2006 experience was instantly forgettable, so the memory was playing tricks again. Still it's hard to believe that Ireland senior team used to play there back in the day.

Few points about the game. I thought it was good, very enjoyable. Particularly for me being a Bohs fan while Everton are my English team.
Everton weren't giving it 100% anyways lads. Last night's game won't have a negative affect on Saturday's, so I wouldn't worry about that. Still Everton were the better team in the first half, but Bohs the better in the second. We are a League of Ireland team alright, and I'm not kidding myself about the standard here, but by no means are we/the league pushovers. The standard of the league as a whole has gone up a good deal in the past ten-fifteen years, and a good few of our squad from the past 2/3 years are now playing in the Championship, with the odd Premier League player and League one, too.
But anyways, the team we were playing last night wasn't completely our first teamers. About half first teamers and half second string.
Glad to hear some thought Sexton (Bohs keeper) was impressive. He's only 18 (I think, give or take a year at most) too. By the full time whistle blew, I'd say the average age of the Bohs team was around 20.
As for the lads in the Des Kelly making racist comments, I also heard some of them were aimed at one of the ball boys there. Disgraceful stuff from a couple of absolute mugs.
And fully agree with Aidan's post there actually! Good post.

Saw that lid playing keepy-uppy, he looked quite good actually....

Hard core League of Ireland midfeilder got fed up with Ross running the show so went in hard with a high tackle while Barkley was on the ball, he laid it off to Garbutt and raised his studs and caught the midfeilder as he was slideing in, he subsequently fell on the midfeilder with his elbow burting his nose. He made it all look like it was a horrendous tackle by the opposing player who was subbed with a burst nose, The lad has savy.

Sounds excellent, six months of progession and we can have Gerrard's leg off in the derby without a red card.

I thought mustafi played really well, distribution, tackling and positioning. Looks a real talent. Poor garbut got caught out a couple of times. overall just happy nobody got broke up. Barkley looks super aswell.
