Friday night is Guinness night.

Work wise, its been a pain in the arse. Late trucks, trucks braking down, major road closed for 2 days cos some Key Stone cops shot some bloke.

But now, all parcels delivered, weather is sound, one day left till my annual one week off.

Took the day off so I could have a few drinks and watch the game last night.

A peaceful, gentle place to chill. Away from the football, away from the EU, Trump, et al, angst filled threads.

Been alright actually.

Had today off which was ace. Did my fastest ever 5k run which I was made up about as I’m still very new to this running thing.

Work going ok. Ish. Still not really fitting in in the northern office but whatever.

And Max the cat keeps bringing in effing shrews.

But still a good week.

Have been planting bulbs in the garden this morning,

Very therapeutic to not only be in the fresh air but to know that these small ugly things will turn into lovely flowers with a little time and water.....of course that will be until a deer gets into the garden and decapitate all of my tulips during the course of one night but that is a disappointment I'll leave until the summer!

Next week I have to attack my garden/orchard/meadow cos its gone a bit Amazon esq this summer. Chain saw, petrol mower, hedge trimmer thing, all getting primed on Sunday.

Workwise absolutely awful due to the new IT system that doesn't work and is a complete waste if public money. Everton have made me miserable but Speedo Mick is a legend, I got paid today, shopping tomorrow so on the only available alcoho that I had to go raking in a cupboard for- sherry left over from last Christmas. Happy days.

I planned to but when it came to it just couldn't be arsed
