Clearly they just talk about [Poor language removed] all the time and more often than not it comes to nothing.

Its never ever simple with Everton is it. Buying players is an epic struggle and now we have an argument over whos finding us investment.
Wouldn't it be nice to have some transparency on these matters.

I'm not too concerned about transparency so much as having confidence that the board & ceo are competent

Theres a number of ways to look at this.

1. This Nigerian chap is lying, he is trying to big up himself, he said he had buyers for Newcastle and as of yet Ashley is still in charge, hes trying to make himself sound like he knows peoples.

2. The Club is lying, for whatever reason, maybe its the Kirkby thing, maybe they are trying to keep on lid on things for other reasons.

3. The Club told this fella we werent for sale, he wasnt having it , so he has gone to the press in order to force the club into a sale, he maybe knows that if he kicks up a big enough stink, he will get the fans on his side and it will make things easier.

The funny thing is the speed in which the club denied it and also the manner in which it was denied. Surely if we are infact for sale or even looking for investment, they should try and be polite to people who express an interest. Not call them a dirty liar.

The Plot Thickens.....

I for one believe the response, and the speed of it are in direct response to Bills performance at the AGM.

If this rumour does come to nothing and it probably will it could be perceived by the fans that Bill had messed up another investment opportunity.

I agree with everything your saying there mate. Thing that got to me was this Nathanial fella says he was misquoted. So what did he really say? That Everton are not for sale and nobody is interested if they are or was he really on about Exeter? I find it hard to believe that anyone can be that misquoted. Another thing is how many times have the board kept a lid on things until the last minute? A conspiracy of silence speaks louder than words in my view and no club is better at that than our beloved.
