Was just going to post that Bill. A 'debate thread' would be a good idea, if somebody wants to speak out on a sensitive issue it can be taken there, perhaps with a warning at the start of the thread ?

I think this is a good idea, a warning that sensible debate is appreciated and a difference of opinion is fine if put across in the correct way but any tittishness then some form of punishment is dished out. I think being sentenced to 24 hours as a security guard with Angelwitch at Spar is suitable.

I opened this thread expecting a train wreck, and surprisingly some sensible answers!

I just don't see how debating it brings up any new points that haven't already been raised, or changes someone's passionate opinions about the subject.

I'll be steering clear as I don't enjoy arguing over this sort of stuff, but just remember to respect eachother.

Nobody has any divine right to comment on whatever they like on here, under the guise of 'free speech'. We don't burden that responsibility.

The responsibility we burden is ensuring this place remains the Evertonian Community that it is, and threads of this nature do nothing but divide and conquer. Take tommye's reply above, he should be banned for that. He's calling 30%+ of our traffic, Evertonians who visit this forum, "archaic backward thinking shower of [Poor language removed]". And that's constructive for the forum?
