Free Schools Break More Records

There has always been a lot to complain about with local authority controlled schools but I can't remember one being shut down immediately for reasons of child safety. Maybe. What I was trying to express is the view that this is one of dangers you expose young people to with an increasingly deregulated education system. The justifications for Free Schools and Academies are full of anecdotes and exemplifies (if that is the correct word). I wonder whether this one will be added to the debate.........

Probably not, in the same way that bad local authority schools aren't used to justify that type of system.

I like the idea of free schools, I'd much rather see teachers, parents, charities and businesses run a school than a local authority. I hope they trial profit-making schools at some point too.
