Free Kick - Defensive Routine, the French Way

well the forwards move out with them and the whole on the line thing is out! Getting complicated now.

Not really as the defence move towards the ball on the line anyway if you watch the vid, then re-adjust and head the low pace shot away.

Momentum going forward would be with the defender who can view the ball, putting any disrupting attacker at a disadvantage.

Always wondered about putting all eleven on the line and seeing how that worked. Maybe with the keeper in front of the other ten.

This. Get 1-0 then stand everyone on the goal line. Although prob they'll just run it to the 6 yrd box then blast it hard as at your nads... :o

With regards to the clip above (which seems to have been removed), from what I can see in the thumbnail the keeper seems to be in a terrible position? Looks like where he is, is roughly where a ball in flight would be at its highest point. Surely he should be closer to where it's taken from, or just in front of the line?

Any closer and I don't think he could react in time.
