To be fair he should have been told about it before it was on the official site. I agree with that.

But at the same time did he really think he would be getting a new deal after making so few appearances over the last 4 seasons. He had a terrible injury record, put no pressure at all on Coleman, and was very average on the rare occasion he did play.

The bit about being made to train in the afternoon annoyed me a bit. "Oh woe is me. I have to use these world class training facilities in the afternoon on my own away from my friends. Like a free gym from people I've taken millions off over the last 15 years in return for some very questionable results". Yes Tony, because you no longer work here.

Plus when you do an interview in the daily mail you kind of lose all credibility/moral high ground anyway.
Yeah I was just agreeing with the being informed bit haha as its such a simple thing to do

Osman's case certainly makes you wonder. Not many go from semi-regular premier league playing time to no one wanting you at all.

Even if it is a case of Ossie turning teams down, it does make you question the man's view of himself and his drive to play the game.

Every player who has played 10 years plus in the prem, even as a squad player, is a multi millionaire so he doesn't have a financial need to keep playing. Not sure why it would reflect badly on him to not just take anything that's offered to him rather than want to wait for an offer that he actually fancies.

To clarify my post, it wasn't a sleight on Ossie at all. I know he can retire at 35 and his kids have no need for gainful employment. My thinking is that all he ever wanted to do was play football. He lived the dream.

If I could retire now, I would fill my day doing the things that I love. For Ossie not to playing at all, the offers must have been really unappealing.

I think this is a great idea. when you see the amount of money that United wasted on that weasel Raiola, we will save a packet on this initiative.

Bravo.
